Founded in 1980, CORPIQ is an organisation bringing together small and large Québec rental housing owners and managers alike. It counts 10,000 members with offices in Montréal and Québec City. Its mandate is to promote and defend their economic and social rights, to inform them, as well as to help them save money on different products and services. It chose Athena Energy as exclusive supplier of natural gas for its members and to offer them the Gaz Métro fixed price supply service or other specific programs adapted to their needs.
Through its large 164-chamber of commerce network, the Fédération des chambres de commerce du Québec (FCCQ) represents 57,000 members active in all economic sectors, throughout Quebec. The Syndicat des producteurs en serre du Québec uses every tool available to promote, grow and defend the greenhouse industry in Québec. The syndicate helps to improve the revenues of greenhouse producers by increasing the sector’s competitivity. It is the newest partnership Athena Energy has concluded to this date.
Bitume Québec is an association for asphalt suppliers and producers. One of the Bitume Québec’s missions is to promote the use of new products and innovative technologies with regards to flexible pavement construction and maintenance. They offer all their members Athena Energy’s services.
The Fédération des coopératives d'habitation intermunicipale du Montréal métropolitain (FECHIMM) includes 438 housing cooperatives spread over the islands of Montreal, Laval and the Lower Laurentians area. In total, these housing cooperatives add up to more than 10,000 households.
The partnership between FECHIMM and Athena Energy was signed in spring 2010; enabling all FECHIMM members that are consumers of natural gas to form into a collective buying power allowing them to obtain a better price and, most importantly, be protected against market fluctuations thanks to a fixed price for a predetermined time.
