CCIRR – September 10, 2009

As a partner of ASCQ, Athena Energy was pleased to participate in their "Open house" held on October 14th. This event also marked the 20th anniversary of Mr. Charlebois as the director of the association that is recognized in the market for condominium co-ownerships and thank him for his dedication on behalf of the members.

As a specialist in purchasing strategies and in natural gas price management, he demonstrated how we can manage the price volatility, which is sometimes extreme, so that the client may come out as winner, even in a rough energy market environment.

Symposium ENERGY AND SUSTAINABLE DEVELOPMENT (HEC, Montréal)

This symposium aimed to establish the situation of energy in Québec, to offer a portrait of the best practices in energy management and sustainable development and to present concrete solutions for managers of business in Québec.

On October 20th, 2008, Robert Bédard, President of Athena Energy, was there! More than a hundred people of the Quebec business community, master’s students and international business managers attended his presentation. During the conference entitled “Managing the risk of hydrocarbons: the case of natural gas”, Mr. Bédard shared his vision of the natural gas market and demystified the various factors that influence the price of energy.

FCCQ Congress, October 4, 2008, Québec City

During the congress, organized jointly with the Canadian Chamber of Commerce, Robert Bédard, President of Athena Energy, was invited to speak about the natural gas market during the course of a workshop on Energy. Sixty participants attended his presentation entitled “Natural gas, a price signal”. From energy demand to operating costs rising rapidly, Mr. Bédard gave a portrait of the natural gas prices situation. He concluded by presenting solutions to correct the trend.
